Stella @ 9 Months

Okay a month late is not the end of the world...honestly pretty good considering it's summer time! :)

Cheers to you baby girl and 9 months! You are quite the little tiny princess too- sassy and sweet and have all these boys in here at your fingertips. It's hysterical to me how you make a noise and see who comes running...even Phil. What's going to happen when your 16?

Just had your 9 month check up and you are beautifully growing- 28 lbs (98% in weight) and 99% in height. NO doubt you will be tall...but what about your hair color? Still trying to figure that one out! ha ha!

I did actually stop nursing you. IT was really hard on me but I don't think you were getting much out of it and you really love your bottle, so it was time. Not to mention you were really starting to bite and no matter how many times I told you "no" or lightly flicked your cheek you still did it. Ornery little thing.  I made it to 7.5 months with you so I'm happy with that. I did cry a bit...just to let you know...it's so funny how this can be emotional but it really is.

Well we've finally mastered the art of sitting up! It took awhile! Actually I wanted my good friend, Emily, to do 6 month photos of you but we waited forever and a day to get you to sit up by yourself! ha ha! (finally the end of June was it for you- almost 9 months!)

You quickly went from sitting up to learning to fall and then push yourself back up. Though not in a hurry (not shocking) to start crawling. This mommy is forever grateful as I have enough busy people to look after this summer.

Loving all your foods. We've introduced you to different meats- rotisserie chicken and breakfast sausages, little pizza, cheeses, yogurts and bananas. You love them all. But you're not so sure on the "chunkiness" mixed with smooth. The baby foods with the chunks just don't work for you and you just spit them out. So we'll keep trying. No problem filling up your tummy though! :)

WE've had a super busy summer with the boys and you are the best trooper- you just go wherever you need to go and sleep and eat wherever we need to. Back and forth between camps and boys running around all over the place and you really just love it. I'm forever grateful you're so laid back!

You absolutely love the pool- it's gotten a bit warmer and you love splashing around. You see Daddy getting in and you practically dive at him for your turn in the water.

Like I said- busy summer- you've had your first trips up to the lake (actually 3 times in June- Critter Campout, with the Buntings and Fourth of July!). We celebrated Daddy's birthday, lots of pool time, gym time, meeting a new friend from Cali, a weekend at Grand Lake and lots of walks around the neighborhood. I would say your never short of activities or being a busy lil' gal!

Looking forward to how you'll grow over the next few months...your personality is really starting to come alive and I just know you'll be even more of a treat for us all! Sassy & Sweet!
